Exhibition that coalesces the literature and the plastic arts universes, by presenting Bernardo Atxaga’s poems (Basque writer, born in 1951) illustrated by Erramun Landa’s drawings. Bernardo Atxaga was a poet and also a narrator and he became one of the most known writers of Spain with his book Obabakoak, from 1989. This exhibition was integrated in the “II Literature and Culture Meeting in the Iberian Space”, organised by the Letters Department of UBI, with the support of the Cervantes Institute of Lisbon.

Vegetal Tours

Céu Vigário’s artisanal paper exhibition is composed by a collection of works made in paper pulp, hand-made and dried under the sun. This work aimed to value the former techniques and the original acts inherent in the origins of the handwriting spelling in papyrus and animal skins, but also to present the roots of the paper manufacturing.

Arqueologia | Bernardini

Archaeology

Exhibition of 12 paintings that result from a research made by the plastic artist Bernardini (São Paulo, born in 1954), in the last 3 years. They are comprised n a set of works with the general title Archaeology Series.

Curvilinealism | Rodolfo Passaporte

Curvilinealism

Homage to the plastic artist Rodolfo Passaporte, who settled in Covihã since 1959, through an exhibition in retrospect of paintings and drawings where some of his most significant works are presented. They are from a period in which he created a new style that he named curvilinealism, however, he continued converging into the human figure, either the portray or the composition of figures.

Itinerant exhibition of Contemporary Tapestry, Pátria-Mundo., by Altina Martins, organised with the National Museum of the Costume collaboration. Contemporary Portuguese Tapestry

Collective exhibition of contemporary Portuguese tapestry, coordinated by the Art Master, Gisella Santi, trainer and organiser of the tapestry in Portugal and founder of “3.4.5.” Group – Contemporary Tapestry Association. In this exhibition, we present works made by Alves Dias, Céu Vigário, Gisella Santi, Guida Fonseca, Lena Önnesjö Horta Lobo, Maria Altina Martins, Maria Cândida Vieira Correia Marques, Maria Delfina Marques, Maria José Mateus and Teresa Ogando.
